However, the level of threat one perceives is personal and dependent upon one’s past experiences and consequential belief system. If one is overly sensitive and becomes angry easily then one’s anger may be dysfunctional.
Stress is the body's natural response to challenges or demands. It is a physical, emotional, and mental reaction that occurs when we perceive a threat, pressure, or difficult situation. When one is stressed, there is a psychological experience of overwhelm, irritability and racing thoughts. Physically one can experience a rapid heartbeat, headaches, muscle tension and fatigue.
I would describe it as a process or practice where an individual comes to recognize, understand and overcome the causes of these problems.
The Self-Cycle is based upon the psychological components that make up the human being. It is a personal journey of self-discovery whereby we come to understand the causes of one’s emotional state on a deeper level and are thereby able to change it.
The sessions are held via Microsoft Teams, in other words online. Therefore you are free to choose your own location. Long gone are the days of having to be physically present for a session with you therapy coach and online sessions are even more effective as you are in the comfort of the surroundings of your choice. It is important to choose an environment which is quiet and private, and with a good Wi-Fi source for the sessions.
